Invest in our community

The FCCA’s goal is to serve and service our community through quality programing and educational training. Donations will go toward FCCA programing in addition to building expenditures for completing our recreational/multipurpose space (the old pool area). Your contribution is a sustainable investment into the FCCA and into the Crawford County community.

How will my donation impact the mission, goals, & community?
FCCA’s mission is clear, our goal is to meet the needs of families, children, and the community by promoting excellent programs and services. We are dedicated to building partnerships, and promoting unity within our community through training, education, and collaboration.

FCCA is making a difference, and we are working hard to make an even greater impact within our community as mental health disorders arise, the price of food increases, government assistance gets cut, and our youth needs more guidance. FCCA can be the last ray of hope people have when they are struggling.
If the FCCA did not exist over 250 3–5-year-olds would not experience a healthy first-time classroom experience through our Pre-K Counts program.
If the FCCA did not exist, struggling families would not have the ability to go to the Blessing Box to obtain a meal for their family to eat until they got on their feet.
If the FCCA did not exist over 1,500 holiday meals would not have gotten to those who need it the most, and those who need the fellowship during the holiday season would be left at home all alone.
These are just a few reasons the FCCA exists.

Here are just a few of the ways you and FCCA can impact our community.

Developing Greatness

The Developing Greatness program provides services to our youth so that we can keep them off the street and in a positive environment with support systems in place for them to be successful. Our goal is for youth between the ages of 12-24 to have a safe space to go outside of home and school. Our desire is to pour the fundamental ethical principles into our young people so that they can thrive in our culture and the world that we live in. Your donation will allow us to continue to expose our young people to new cities, states, colleges, and career opportunities by way of travel. We will also provide them with workforce development opportunities, life skills such as how to make a meal, wash clothes, cleaning and maintaining a house.

Get to Know Your Neighbor

Community breakfast unites our community and allows us to live out our mission. These breakfasts bring the community together and motivate us to be our best and authentic selves, in addition to promoting social and learning opportunities for each other. For many this may be the only hot meal they will receive during the weekend. This breakfast not only provides a hot meal to people within our community, but it also provides our community with awareness of community resources.

Love Your Neighbor

Love Your Neighbor works to increase communication and to encourage better collaboration amongst organizations and our community overall. We get out into the community and have difficult conversations to bring unity, challenge people to think outside the box, work to address differences and to celebrate our similarities. Our 6-week course has made a tremendous impact on our community. Additionally, many of our community partners and leaders have developed great relationships through this program.

Recreation/Multipurpose Space

Over the last two years we invested over $300,000.00 into filling our abandoned pool which was built in the 1970’s. The upkeep of maintaining a pool of this magnitude was finically unobtainable for our organization. Not wanting this space to go to waste, our desire is to create lasting memories by using the area for basketball, pickleball, weddings, community events, conferences, and more. We still need to address the heating and cooling, flooring, painting, and electrical work that need to be done before we can officially open it up to the community.

Our goal is to provide a safe space for all individuals of our community and county. We desire that the community will greatly benefit from the space physically, mentally, socially and spiritually. This space will serve as a multi-purpose area for youth all the way into senior citizenship. We envision craft shows, basketball tournaments, pickleball tournaments, volleyball tournaments, weddings, parties, community events and gatherings, and so much more.

Blessing Box

Take what you need, give what you can. The blessing box is primarily funded by the community, but the need is sometimes greater than supply. Your donation will go to purchase items to stock the Blessing Box when needed.

Community Meals

Started over 40 years ago with dinner provided free of charge on Christmas, the program has expanded to include additional holidays and various other programs. A donation to this program will go directly to feeding the community, all free of charge.

Regina Merritt Scholarship Fund

The scholarship fund was created upon the unexpected loss of FCCA's Executive Director, Regina Merritt. FCCA had continued to support the Merritt family with a scholarship fund for Regina’s two daughters. Donations will go directly to helping these two young ladies with continuing education expenses.
