FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What will my child learn in the FCCA Pre-K Counts program?

Your child will learn more than just the academic skills needed for kindergarten! Your preschooler will learn things like independence, self-help and self-regulation skills, along with other executive functioning skills. They will practice teamwork and building relationships, how to be part of a school family, and to love their school experience.

How does the FCCA Pre-K Counts differ from other programs?

We pride ourselves on the quality of the relationships we have with our families and students. We believe the entire family should be part of the FCCA PKC program, to build our School Family; we host multiple workshops and events where everyone can attend and participate.

All but two of our classrooms are located in the local elementary schools, giving our children and families the opportunity to become acclimated with the school environment before kindergarten. Children get a chance to know the school, the staff, and to feel comfortable in the space.

We strive for lower teacher to student ratios by having three staff in each classroom whenever we can. We support our staff in obtaining, maintaining and increasing their credentials.
